    School Facilities

    School Premises
In April 1988 the Quilters Infant children moved into our school building, adjacent to their existing building (now the Junior School). Later that year the Junior School children moved from their old school (now the Ivory Rooms), along Laindon Road, into the newly refurbished school.

Quilters Infant School is semi-open plan with six teaching bases, set out in three groups of two, built around a central ICT Suite and Library.

Each class base has a shared cloakroom and toilet facilities.  Every class base has an external door, giving direct access to outdoor areas.

The school grounds have quiet seating areas, a pergola, grassed areas, a willow tunnel, hard playground, low level adventure play equipment and a wildlife garden, as well as trees and shrubs for shade.

We are very proud to have our own indoor heated swimming pool.  All children are taught to swim once a week by a qualified swimming teacher.  The vast majority of children leave the school being confident enthusiastic swimmers.

We have a large ICT suite with 15 desktop computers and a PC in every classroom.  The children also have regular use of cameras, programmable equipment and voice/film recording equipment.

There are no parking facilities on site for parents. Parents with disabilities are asked to contact the school so that access arrangements can be made.
